Required Qualifications:

1. Advanced (or above) proficiency in Me’phaa (speaking and listening), as demonstrated in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Speaking and listening expertise in the variety of Me’phaa used in Iliatenco, as demonstrated in application materials.

2. Familiarity with contemporary norms for writing Me’phaa, as demonstrated in application materials.

Position Overview:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Kansas seeks to hire a part-time Me’phaa language consultant. Hours are flexible, and remote work is possible. The language consultant position is a collaborative position working in conjunction with a member of the department (and possibly additional consultants) to create materials that support Me’phaa language documentation and teaching.
