Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintenance of all pumps, aerators, mixers, etc.
• Operation of belt filter press
• Assist in the installation, repair and maintenance of the City’s wastewater collection system, including manholes, piping
• Maintain and repair lift stations as required
• Respond to alarms and calls in a timely manner
• General cleaning of all buildings, pipes and equipment
• Clean and maintain UV system
• Operate the VacCon vehicle and perform maintenance and utility locations when requested
• Assist in soil sampling • Work in “on call” rotation • Prompt and regular attendance is required for this position
• Other duties as assigned
Peripheral Duties:
• Attend monthly safety meetings • Maintain and demonstrate good public relations
• Assist with snow removal and street clearing, as needed • Assist and cross-train in other departments, as required
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment, as required
• Abide by all standards, conduct and policies, as stated in Employee Handbook
