Job Description
ResponsibilitiesProvide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
- Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action.
- Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury.
- Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date OR job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS) required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Drivers License credentialed from the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
