Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various machinery and equipment within our facility.
This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Machine Maintenance Technician will ensure that all machines operate efficiently and safely to meet production demands. Building and facility maintenance will also be focused on.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential problems or areas for improvement.
- Utilize HVAC knowledge for maintaining temperature control systems within the facility.
- Work with high voltage systems as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Operate scissor lifts and other equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance machine performance and reliability.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any machine-related concerns promptly and effectively.
- Document all maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or as an industrial electrician is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems and electrical systems is a plus.
- Proficient in using an ohmmeter and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with machine maintenance.
