Job Description
Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Halter break and groom; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock and feed from one location to another manually or using trucks, skid steer, front end loader, cart; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Provide mineral to cattle grazing corn stalks.
Employer-housing provided
Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
