Job Description
Lead Smart Factory Projects to transform our facilities into Industry 4.0. Global capital acquisition including scope of work development, financial justification, vendor qualification and equipment implementation. Drive best manufacturing practices through lean methodologies, events, and continuous improvement (C.I.) projects. Improve manufacturing efficiency, cost and throughput using lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices. Provide lean, C.I. and technical training to cross-functional groups and lead process improvement teams on a global scale. Lead product development projects and coordinate multiple manufacturing site capabilities. Design and improve production processes, improve quality and reduce costs. Provide training to cross-functional groups and lead process improvement teams on a global scale. Lead the implementation of large-scale capital projects to drive capacity growth and productivity improvements. Includes robotics, material handling automation, and vision system automation. Process design, tool design, and machine programming support. Conduct Process Performance and Quality Control Analyses. Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Design of Experiments (DOE), 8D, Line Balancing and Capacity Modeling using Six Sigma methodologies. Gauge R&R, Statistical process control (SPC), Cpk, Data Analysis – Minitab, Analysis of variance, Process risk analysis, FMEA, PFMEA and associated control plans. Reduce customer lead times by eliminating non value-added activities and improving takt times (factory throughput). Support Lean Manufacturing activities including Kaizen, 5S and DFT for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
