Description
Prepares student to take the state examination for medication aide certification. Designed to provide skills essential fr the administration, care, adn handling of medications which are for oral ingestion and external application.
Emphasis will be placed on current medications and their effects on the elderly.
In addition, this course includes overmedication and drug abuse, drug-drug and drug-food interactions. Drug Classification Update, regulations and legal conciderations of administering drugs.
