Description
This course is designed to prepare the health unit coordinator student to facilitate the activities of people in a health unit to work together smoothly and harmoniously in a common action, which is the delivery of health care to patients. Students will learn management of information, communication, medical terminology, critical thinking and cultural diversity. Students will learn to transcribe physician orders.
Students with skills in health unit coordinating will be prepared to work in a variety of health care settings.
Student will be prepared to sit for the NAHUC exam to become nationally certified.
