Description
The Surgical Technology program prepares students to function in the operating room environment by combining classroom and simulated laboratory instruction with actual surgical clinical experiences. Successful completion of the program allows graduates to take the national certification examination
to become a certified surgical technologist (CST). Students can round off their educational experience by completing 12
credit hours of general education courses in five areas of study including mathematics, natural and social sciences, English and communications to obtain an associate of applied science degree.
