Description
The carpentry program prepares students in the basic skills necessary for all occupations in construction. Students begin their study in nine modules, which include: safety; math; materials; hand and power tools; construction drawings; basic rigging; communication; and employability skills. in: technical mathematics; framing; construction materials and selection; job estimating; blueprint reading; foundations and roughing-in; finish carpentry techniques; and applicable codes and standards. Students then advance to courses which provide hands-on application of technical knowledge and skills. In these courses students will apply all aspects of basic carpentry and will receive instruction
