Description
This four day class at the Butler Andover Campus will train IT technicians who are working primarily with local area networks on fiber optic technology. Students will receive training that can help them with all facets of fiber optics in networks used by businesses, manufacturers, schools, hospitals, utilities, government agencies, and any other facility using fiber optics. Hands-on training is provided in fiber optic fundamentals, cable preparation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of LAN single mode and multimode fiber. This class will prepare the student to take the FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) examination.
