Description
The Medical Laboratory Technology program will prepare individuals, under the supervision of clinical laboratory scientists/medical technologists, to perform routine medical laboratory procedures and tests and to apply preset strategies to record and analyze data. Includes instruction in general laboratory procedures and skills; laboratory mathematics; medical computer applications; interpersonal and communications skills; and the basic principles of hematology, medical microbiology, immunohematology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis. The Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program is a two-year program developed to prepare entry-level technicians for medical laboratory facilities. The program will encompass lab safety, medical ethics, equipment and instrumentation, diagnostics, and laboratory operations. Students will be exposed to classroom lecture, hands-on lab exercises, and clinical opportunities to prepare them for the workforce.

100% of tuition and fees may be refunded for Fall and Spring semesters if courses are dropped within five business days of the published session start date. 100% of tuition and fees may be refunded for Summer I, Summer II and Intercession semesters if courses are dropped within five business days of the published start date. A student remains responsible for payment of tuition and fees if the drop occurs after the tuition refund date as indicated.
