Description
This course prepares the student to take the state certification exam and upon successful completion, be certified as a medication aide and be employable in Kansas long-term agencies. Learning involves an understanding of basic drugs administration, desired effect, side effects, dosage, and safety issues. This course builds on the content learned in the geriatric aide (CNA) course, by examining medication administration to the elderly and the implications that the aging process has on drug effects. Services same as for all GCCC students.
