Description
This course prepares the graduate to take the Kansas State Board of Nursing Licensing Exam for practical nursing by covering areas beginning with basic patient care and progressing to supervised management in long term care facilities. A math competency test, possible math review classes, CPR certifiction and a physical examination are required prior to admission. Students must purchase textbooks, uniforms, liability insurance and pay a state exam and graduation fee. Instruction is in clinical rotations at area hospitals and nursing homes as well as the classroom. Tranportation is the students responsibilty. A 78% grade is required to advance through the program.
